Fun Facts

When I am not working, I am engaged in:

I’m always looking for the “why” — behind behavior, behind patterns, behind seemingly small details. To me, understanding is the most satisfying kind of discovery.

Biomedical/Public health research isn’t just an interest — it’s a lens through which I view the world. I'm intrigued by emotional complexity, human resilience, and how we heal and grow.

I genuinely enjoy deep conversations — the kind where we forget about time and dive into the meaning of life, the human mind, and what it means to truly exist.

I'm endlessly fascinated by people. I believe every person is a vivid, intricate universe, and I love getting to know their inner worlds.

I used to wake up at 5 a.m. every day to run 5–6 kilometers — now I’m hooked on CrossFit. I recently unlocked double under, toes-to-bar (can only do one…) and wall walks, and yes, I celebrated them like personal holidays. One time, I was the fastest runner in the whole class (approximately 8 miles/h). It was fun!

While I love a tough workout, I also find deep peace in solitude. Some of my favorite moments are spent walking alone in the woods, lost in my thoughts, having quiet conversations with myself.

Lately I’ve found so much joy in baking — it’s become my favorite kind of therapy. I started with thick, gooey chocolate chip cookies packed with macadamia nuts, and then somehow fell down a cinnamon roll rabbit hole. Watching dough rise is now a weirdly satisfying highlight of my day. My latest experiment? Matcha buns with black sesame and a batch of cocoa and matcha shortbread. Not all of them turn out perfectly, but there’s something about the quiet, flour-dusted rhythm of it all that grounds me.
